Starry Night – May update

I know it doesn't look like much but I've actually got loads done on this. I've spent the weekends since the last Grand Prix working on it and I'm really happy with my progress. I got to a point though, with that star, where all I could see to do next was confetti. As I was getting a bit frustrated, I allowed myself to do that blue section below it, which went much more quickly in comparison, as it's only two shades of blue mixed in with what was already there.

I think the way to go forward is to do a whole square filling in confetti and then as a reward, let myself do a section with hardly any confetti so it feels like I've done lots.

I've done some stitching on the Winnie the Pooh calendar for July but haven't done any more to the Hamilton/McLaren piece this weekend. I had a vile migraine for most of last week and I've been playing catch up with housework yesterday and today. I'm quite peeved about that as I was really looking forward to doing some more on that one. Maybe I'll be able to sneak some extra stitchy time in during the week…

  1. starry night looks lovely so far, Van Gogh is one of my favourites. Looking forward to see it finished. Happy stitching.

  2. It’s so challenging when there is a lot of the confetti. I think that is why I set aside my “Girl in the Grass” I just found it so frustrating

  3. It’s going to be well worth all the effort – the colours are so rich.

  4. That is going to look amazing when it is done.Nice work so far.

  5. This is going to look lovely Carole. I am still working on a tapestry that I have had for years. I only do it on holiday. I think I need more holidays!!!!
