A slight obsession with books

Reading and Fibrecrafts

Dublin

We’ve arrived at the first stop of our adventure. We’re in the Maldron Hotel, right by Dublin airport, which we flew into tonight. We found it was cheaper to fly here, stay in a hotel overnight and then take an indirect flight to Orlando. Going indirect from Birmingham, and other airports, was very expensive. This is a bit of a faff, but it’ll get us there without busting the budget.

We’ve never flown with Aer Lingus before and they were great. Nice comfy seats, although not much in the way of leg room. For a flight of less than one hour, it was perfectly adequate though.

We had a slight delay from Birmingham, but the pilot made the time up in the air and we got here pretty much on schedule. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the terminal. The room is small but very nice – typical airport hotel really.

The beds are comfy and there’s a nice little bathroom. The wi-fi is very good so that’s a definite plus.

Tomorrow we’re up at 5am ready for our 9am flight to Charlotte, and from there we fly on to Orlando and the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas. Woo hoo!
