SAL – Douceur de vivre #2

This is the scheduled three-weekly post for the SAL that I’m doing with several other crafty blogs and progress has been made. I’m really enjoying stitching this one.

This is the centre square of the design.

SoL-04Those little sheep were fun to do and I do like how the clouds overlap the squares.

I did the square on the centre left next.

SoL-03That could be me, if I used enormous great needles and wore dresses πŸ˜‰ She looks like she could do some damage with that needle, don’t you think?

Finally for this update, I did a third square, the one on the centre right.

SoL-05Such a sweet little pink house!

I’m quite pleased with getting three of the squares done and can’t wait to do the next ones. This is what it all looks like so far.

SoL-02I’m really pleased with how it looks on the linen. It gives it a slightly rustic charm that matches the design.

I plan to do the top left square next as that little gap in the grid is annoying me and I need to fill it in.

For the stitch-a-long I’m linking up to these lovely blogs:

Avis at Sewing beside the sea
Claire at Claire93
Kate at Tall tales from Chiconia
Gun at Rutigt
Jule at From the boudoir
Wendy at The crafter’s apprentice
Lucy at Lucyannluna
Cathy at NanaCathydotcom
Jacqui at The stitching line
Jess at Ever the crafter

Not everyone does an update each time, but their blogs are always worth a visit.

  5. You definitely wouldn’t want to cross Herself with the needle, but she’s a champion worker, I’ll say that for her!
