SAL – Douceur de vivre #5

This is the scheduled three-weekly post for the SAL that I’m doing with several other crafty blogs and there hasn’t been much progress this time.

SOL-14I’m working on that border and it’s proving to be very fiddly. I’ve done the stems and have started on the leaves but I’ve still got a lot of leaves to do. After that there are flowers in two different colours. I’m definitely aiming for a finish for next time though.

For the stitch-a-long I’m linking up to these lovely blogs:

Avis at Sewing beside the sea
Claire at Claire93
Kate at Tall tales from Chiconia
Gun at Rutigt
Wendy at The crafter’s apprentice
Lucy at Lucyannluna
Cathy at NanaCathydotcom
Sue at The Magpie’s nest
Constanze at Textile Dreamer
Jess at Ever the crafter

Not everyone does an update each time, but their blogs are always worth a visit.

  4. I love your embroidery and with the border……wow!!!!

  5. Pretty border! Borders can be boring to stitch but i think this will be worth the effort

  6. it’s looking lovely Carole

  7. I reckon you’ll achieve your finish, fiddly leaves or not. It’s a very lovely piece, and my favourite is still the tapestry lady with the scarily enormous needle!

Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to leave a comment - I love to read them.
