SAL – Garden Cat #3

This is the scheduled three-weekly post for the SAL that I’m doing with several other crafty blogs and I’ve now finished page two. There was only one small area to do for that as I’d already done part of it when doing page one, but even so, it’s a page finish.

GardenCat-03I think I shall work my way down the cat next, as he straddles pages three and four so that seems the most sensible way to proceed. I’m quite excited to stitch him so hopefully will have him mostly finished for next time.

Rosie has now discovered that when I’m stitching, there are lots of lovely things for her to explore. There’s the wire to the maglight, the pot of cut threads, the folder of stitchbows and of course, the inviting fabric with threads dangling from it. I’m having to just get the stitching out when she’s asleep at the moment as she’s very persistent when she wants something.

For the stitch-a-long I’m linking up to these lovely blogs:

Not everyone does an update each time, but their blogs are always worth a visit.

  1. Beautiful stitching. The colors are so happy and cheerful. I can imagine it is quite the feat to get some stitching in while making sure a certain cuddly one doesn’t get into things. You do have so many fun things to play with, though 😉

    • Thanks 🙂

Rosie has tried her best to get into my orts pot but hasn’t yet got as far as the cross stitch. She’s a little monkey though so I do have to try to stitch when she’s napping 🙂

    • It is very summery, isn’t it. Quite appropriate with the weather we’re having at the moment 🙂
(I might get it stitched quicker if I didn’t spend so much time reading 😉 )

  11. Hi Carole, do you have a photo of the design? I would love to see what it is going to look like. By the way, my cats have the same toy and they absolutely adore it 🙂

    • I don’t have a photo as it’s a digital chart. There’s a picture on Satsuma Street’s Etsy shop, but beware as it’s full of gorgeously tempting designs 😀
