Disney – day seven

Restaurants – Captain’s Grille.
Steps – 5,287.

This morning we strolled over to the Yacht Club as we had a breakfast reservation at the Captain’s Grille. Despite staying at the Beach Club so many times, we’ve only ever eaten at our sister resort once, when we splurged on a dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse a few years ago.

I’m sure we’ll go back to the Captain’s Grille another time though as it was very nice in there. You have a choice of picking something off the menu or having the buffet. We do like a nice breakfast buffet but this time we both opted for the menu.

Stephen had an egg sandwich – Serrano Ham, Aged Parmesan, Tomatoes, Onion Marmalade, and Seasoned Arugula with Roasted Potatoes

captains-grille-2Not your usual egg butty and Stephen really enjoyed it. He had a side of bacon with his plus orange juice and coffee.

I had the hotcakes – Lemon-Ricotta hotcakes with Blueberry Compote, Lemon Curd, and Roasted Potatoes. They were divine. They were so light and fluffy and the flavours were perfect.

captains-grille-1I had pink grapefruit juice and coffee with it. We were both pleasantly full afterwards so came back to our lovely villa for a relax and for me to do some laundry.

While we were out yesterday we got some capsaicin cream for Stephen’s leg and it’s doing him a lot of good as he’s been much better today. My back isn’t as bad but now I have a cold. Ever think that things are conspiring against you?

I’m a bit less worried about the cats now as our lovely neighbour has managed to get the heating back on. I gather it’s a bit cold at home at the moment so I’m relieved the cats will be warm enough.

We had a late lunch/early dinner in our villa. Stephen cooked up some scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. A nice healthy meal then…

We were going to do Extra Magic Hours at Epcot but we’ve got comfy now so are drinking beer, eating popcorn and watching Big Bang Theory. Maybe we’ll do a bit more tomorrow 🙂
