SAL – Crazy cat lady #6

This is the scheduled three-weekly post for the SAL that I’m doing with several other crafty blogs.

This is where I got to last time.

And this is where I’m up to now.

Not a great deal of progress. I haven’t been able to do much stitching for the past week or so. The skin on my thumb is a bit dry and there’s a small but painful crack just where I hold the needle. I’ve had to stop stitching until it heals but hopefully I’ll be able to stitch again soon.

I did console myself with an impulse buy. It came up on my FaceBook feed and I had a crazy cat lady moment and bought it. Isn’t it purrfect?

For the stitch-a-long I’m linking up to these lovely blogs:
Avis, Claire, Gun, LucyAnn, Kate, Jess, Sue, Constanze, Debbierose, Christina,
Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Helen, Steph, Linda, Mary Margaret,
Heidi, Connie, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Tony, Megan, Timothy

Look how many of us there are now! We’re getting more people join us all the time and it’s great to see their progress posts every three weeks.

Do allow for people being in different time zones, so not posting all at the same time, but it’s well worth doing a bit of blog hopping to see all the lovely projects that are being worked on.

  1. I’ve got a lovely kitty kit in my stash… not sure when I’ll get round to it, loving the Peter Underhill one – enjoy!

  2. Hope your finger heals quickly. I had that happen to me last year and decided to push through the pain. It took months to heal properly so you’re definitely making the right choice by taking a break. The designs you choose are super cute. I love your new purrrrchase looks like it will be a fun one to do.

Your current piece is wonderful. Any progress is good progress. There are times when I’m happy if I can get a single color done in a week so I think your doing great.

    Happy stitching

  3. All progress is progress, and I did spot it straight away! And I love your new crazy cat purchase. A good impulse buy. I’ve actually developed a callus on my finger from stitching so much, so I know all about pain! If you can find yourself so paw-paw cream (it’s an Aussie cream, so possibly not), it works absolute miracles.

  4. You can see that you made some progress.
Hope your finger feels better soon.
Your new purchase is perfect. Will go great with the one you are working on now.

  5. There’s no rush, but I hope your finger gets better soon 🙂

  6. I love that cat´s smile!!!! The “Cats and biscuits” embroidery is sooo right!

  7. Sending healing vibes your way! You still made some good progress. Such a cute impulse buy too 😉

  8. Do get your finger properly healed before you attempt more stitching. Silly little things like that can become big problems if neglected. I do hope you are healed soon though as i will miss your progress reports, you always stitch such fun things.

  9. Both are so cute! Still good progress. I am constantly cutting my thumb in the bakery so I can relate.

  10. Your new purchase is just too cute, but you should indeed let your finger rest, don’t want to make that crack any worse :O

  11. Never mind hope the finger recovers soon

  12. Sorry to hear about your finger :-(. I hope you can still do some other crafting like crochet.

  13. Sorry to hear about your finger but any excuse to go shopping,eh? Lol

  14. I hope your finger stops bothering you soon. Very nice stitching.

  15. That gray/black cat’s expression slays me every time I see it! Sorry you have a sore finger, not pleasant at all! Retail therapy has its benefits!

  16. Oho! a lapful of marmalade moggie 🙂
