A slight obsession with books

Hinged ring mini book #02

Last December Cal did a tutorial in the FB Paper, Scissors, Story group for a wee little mini book that I thought would be perfect for some pictures of the cats. I loved it so much that I made a couple. I posted pics of the first one a few weeks ago. This is the second one, with mostly kitten pics in it.

This time I used some digital papers and embellishments. I spent a relaxing hour cutting them all out. The papers are lovely and printed beautifully. Luckily I don’t need to worry about how much ink I use as I have HP instant ink, which I think is a great idea. I get 50 pages per month for £1.99 and they send more ink as I need it. I never have to worry about running out of ink again. I just make sure to fill an A4 with photos or journaling or digital embellishments.

I used the Cat-itude bundle from Nitwit collections. There’s so much stuff in there. Great value, especially as I had a discount.

This is the inside with the pocket on the left and six cards hanging from the rings. With the cards folded up. These are the fronts of the six cards. And the backs. I may make another of these little books. They’re so quick to make. At the moment though I’m making a different mini book. It’s a much bigger project than the others that I’ve done but is going to be so useful as well as beautiful. I can’t wait to show you the finished item.
