This is the scheduled three-weekly post for the SAL that I’m doing with several other crafty blogs and I started and finished a wee project that’s been in my stash for years.
Last time I showed you the stash photo with that gorgeous orange fabric and some pretty Threadworx thread. This is what I made with it. Hopefully I’ll be proving that saying wrong LOL
The chart was bought from Etsy, from Nerdy Little Stitcher. I ignored the colour suggestions as I wanted to use the colour-changing thread. The fabric is from Sparklies and is 28 ct Britney in Pumpkin patch.
It’s a lot smaller than I remembered from when I put the kit together so I’m going to do another smaller project before going back to Precious Dreams. I’ve just spent some time some prepping a few small kits so they’re all ready to go. I’ve replaced the horrible aida with some nice soft 32 count Murano, and have put all the threads onto the cards and marked them with the symbols.
I’ve made a start on one of them. Just a few stitches, mind. Can you guess what it is? LOL Also, I’ve just noticed that there’s a cat hair on there already!
For the stitch-a-long I’m linking up to these lovely blogs:
Avis, Claire, Gun, Sue, Constanze, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Megan, Deborah, Mary Margaret, Renee, Carmela, Jocelyn, Sharon, Daisy, Anne, Connie, AJ, Jenny, Laura, Cathie, Linda
Do allow for people being in different time zones, so not posting all at the same time, but it’s well worth doing a bit of blog hopping to see all the lovely projects that are being worked on.

So do I. Maybe if I get this on the wall, it’ll shame me into doing something with them LOL

Sometimes I finish the stitching but then just have a finished little piece rolled up with a bunch of others. I should do a project to finish up my finishes!

Ha ha, that’s exactly my problem. I finish stitching but then they go in the box. Did you see this post? -> https://aslightobsessionwithbooks.wordpress.com/2019/06/09/sal-cappuccino-01/

I’ve been to Nerdy Little Stitcher shop and seen that one you stitched. It always makes me smile. Love that you have lots of ideas for stitching on the go. Lovely fabrics to use too which makes all the difference sometimes.

I love that saying! I occasionally finish something, but my finishes have been few and far between recently.

I’ve been on a bit of a roll with finishes but I only managed one stitchy finish in 2018. The SAL is a brilliant way to get motivated though.

Lol! What a great little piece! I can totally understand needing to take a break from the other, larger project you have underway.

Thanks. I’m quite keen to get back to it now so I’ll be raring to go once the new one is done.

What a cute piece. I think it would bother my sense of perfection though. I love the fabric color. That new start looks like a pretty flower being stitched.

I’m a bit OCD and possibly spend more time organising my craft stash than using it LOL

It’s very small but I really enjoyed doing it. It’s very satisfying getting such a quick finish.

I have had a lot of finishes recently. I’ve been on a roll 🙂
It isn’t an alien, but now you’ve said that, I really wish it was. That’d be brilliant LOL

I’ve seen that small design before and found it funny. There are quite a few designs I like but wouldn’t know what to do with them afterwards haha. Am assuming the new start will have flowers?

Oh I never know what to do with them afterwards, and even when I do, I rarely get around to it LOL
Yes, there are flowers in the new one 🙂

Threadworx is lovely. Great colours and really nice to stitch with. I love using variegated thread, and yarn for that matter. It’s such fun watching it change.
