This is the scheduled three-weekly post for the SAL that I’m doing with several other crafty blogs and I’ve done a bit more on Pumpkin Cottage.
This is how it looked last time I’ve now added the flowers to the borders and done most of the text strip. I had hoped to finish that bit for this update but I didn’t quite get there. I’m still quite happy with my progress though and I’m really enjoying stitching this. It’s such a contrast to my last project!
I’d forgotten how much I love using variegated threads. I love the roof of the cottage. It’s so textured because of the variegation.
For the stitch-a-long I’m linking up to these lovely blogs.
Avis, Claire, Gun, Sue, Constanze, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Megan, Deborah, Mary Margaret, Renee, Carmela, Sharon, Daisy, Anne, Connie, AJ,Jenny, Laura, Cathie, Linda, Helen
Do allow for people being in different time zones, so not posting all at the same time, but it’s well worth doing a bit of blog hopping to see all the lovely projects that are being worked on.

This looks like fun! And easier than the previous project. 😉 I enjoy using variegated threads too.

Beautiful Carole, I have a few of these cottage type ones – though not this one. They are all beautiful and like all there designs are relaxing and easy to stitch. xx

This one reminds me of the 12 lovely little cottages you stitched a while back. I’m still going to buy those charts one day but they’re in a queue.

They’re the same designer, Country Cottage Needleworks. A lot of her designs feature cottages or little villages. They’re always lovely to stitch too 🙂

Those white flowers add so much to the top and bottom. I love using variegated threads and the roof is the perfect place to use them. You got loads done this time!

that’s a lovely bright project to be working on, Carole, and yes a total contrast to your fishy one on black!

Impressive progress, Carole! The white flowers make an impact, and I agree with you about the great texture on the roof.
