A bit more Disney scrapping

More layouts from last year’s holiday. I’m still using the prompts from Shimelle’s ‘A most magical scrapbook’ class and although there’s the odd sheet of a different paper, mostly I’m still using Basic Grey.

This is the last one from Animal Kingdom. I love that wall with all the bikes on it so always try to have a photo taken there.

These photos were taken in Epcot and Animal Kingdom, when we bumped into friends from home. There are a couple more from the Halloween party in the Magic Kingdom. For this one the photographer told us to hold the lamp and look scared. This was one the best bits of the party – meeting Captain Jack Sparrow. He was hilarious. The last Halloween one is the parade. I didn’t manage to get any decent photos so I used two of the bonus ones they give you with the Photopass pics. We always take a photo of the car when we’re on holiday. It’s sort of a tradition. It looks a bit Christmassy, but that was unintentional. It’s not even Christmas paper.

Next is one about our flights to and from Florida and how much we loved going premium economy.Another one from the Magic Kingdom, this time during the daytime. And finally, a layout about the new breakfast in Sanaa.

Resort scrapping

I usually take loads of photos in the resorts that we stay in so I’m giving each one its own layout. The first one is the Royal Pacific at Universal Resort. It’s such a beautiful place to stay and we really enjoyed our four nights there.

I used pretty much all Basic Grey papers.
Next is Coronado Springs. We hadn’t been there before but it was nice. The theming is lovely and our room was comfortable and spacious. The main part of our holiday was spent at Kidani Village, which we absolutely love. I’ve scrapped photos of the room before so chose to do the view from our balcony this time.

Magic Kingdom layouts

We never seem to take as many photos in The Magic Kingdom so I don’t usually have as many layouts as I do for Animal Kingdom. Last year though, we went to the Halloween party and got lots of Photopass photos taken, plus we took a few around the park during the day.

I’m still following the prompts from Shimelle’s A most magical scrapbook class. It’s really helped to get my head back into scrapping and I’m loving it again.

We really enjoyed the 7 dwarfs mine train ride and love how the photos came out when we rode it at night. One of the magic shots that we were looking for was one that was just for that time of year. I love the photo, especially Stephen’s expression. Scrapped with Basic Grey Persimmon.Another magic shot that we went looking for was the hitchhiking ghosts during the Halloween party. Again with Basic Grey Persimmon. I love these photos taken outside The Haunted Mansion. This layout will be the section divider for the Magic Kingdom. There’s not much to it, but I really wanted to include a photo of the castle.

Pandora scrapping

We were so excited to see the new land in Animal Kingdom and we weren’t disappointed. It was amazing! We took hundreds of photos trying to capture the beauty of it. I’m not sure that we succeeded but I did have plenty of photos to choose from when it came to scrapping them.

This layout is the section divider for Pandora and I tried to get lots of photos on it to give an idea of what it’s like. These photos were taken just inside the entrance to Pandora by a Photopass photographer. Scrapped with Basic Grey Archaic. There are a couple of places to eat inside Pandora and one of them, The Satu’li Canteen, quickly became our new favourite lunch spot. I particularly liked that you could order your food on the app and just pick it up when you got there, avoiding the queues. Also, the food was delicious. Scrapped with Basic Grey Boxer. We had a few photos taken at night. I love the magic shot with the Woodsprites. Scrapped using Basic Grey Marrakesh. (that’s nearly all gone now and I’m a little bit sad about it)

Animal Kingdom scrapping

We had lunch at Tusker House last year, partly because we did the dining package to see Rivers of light, and partly because we like the food there and it comes with characters. Obviously there were photos! When it came to scrapping them, I decided to split up the character photos as I didn’t want to leave any out and couldn’t fit them all on the same layout.

This one is a double as you can’t separate Donald & Daisy. It just wouldn’t be right. That consists of pretty much all Basic Grey. It’s getting a real hammering with this album.

Next is Goofy.Yet more Basic Grey. I have so much of it as I loved all the packs that they brought out. Some of them are getting quite depleted now though.

This one is my favourite layout from that lunch. As soon as I saw the photo, I knew what the title had to be LOL We have lots of photos taken in Animal Kingdom, and a lot of them were Photopass ones. They’re so much fun! Scrapped with Basic Grey Offbeat. Another new Photopass magic shot is the hyenas from The Lion King. We found a couple more Lion King magic shots too. More Basic Grey Offbeat.

I had a couple of random photos taken in Asia so I bunged them together to make a companion layout to the one that I did of Africa.  I’m on a mission to complete the 2017 album now as I’ll soon be taking A LOT more photos.

Animal Kingdom & Grinning ghosts

More Disney layouts to share and this one is from the Kilimanjaro Safari. We took literally hundreds of photos during the many times that we went on, so again there are lots of layouts. As well as a general Safari layout, I’m doing ones of specific animals that we saw.

I used Basic Grey, which is taking a real hammering at the moment, plus there’s a sheet of some very old paper as the background. I must have had it for at least ten years!

This layout needed to be a double. I had too many lion photos that I loved, and one of them needed to be BIG. Assorted older papers used and I heat embossed some chipboard for the title.
This one is one of the Photopass photos, where they put a border on. I used more old papers & some cardstock laceThis one is from Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. We have loads of photos from that night so there are more layouts to come, but I loved this photo so much that I printed it huge and it’ll be the section divider for MNSSHP.

I’ve been waiting a long time to use that embossed Mickey paper!

The album is starting to look quite full now. I’ve had to buy a second one.

Clear the desk #2

I had a short break from scrapping as I was really enjoying crocheting Arizona but I did do some layouts for the second prompt for Clear your desk, the online class by Shimelle.

I struggled a bit more to find a batch of papers to use for this one as the bold floral that I wanted to use was tricky to match up with anything else that I had. With that in mind, I’m quite happy with how the layouts turned out.

I picked photos from our 2008 trip to Disney World as I still have loads to use from there and as we went for the Flower festival, the photos seemed a good match for the papers. Love that doily by Basic Grey. I’ve wanted to use that on something for years!

The first one is a Photopass magic shot. That patterned paper is old Junkitz. This one is one of my favourite photos from that year. We were walking along and the little cart came up behind us. As I swung my camera up to take a quick snap, they stopped and posed for me. There were lots of lovely sculptures at the festival and I particularly liked this one. I finally got to use that really bold floral on this layout along with some old stitchy rub ons. Finally for this batch is my favourite with these papers. More of that pretty doily and I even got to use some really old chipboard letters.

I’ve been scrapping more Disney 2017 photos lately, using the Magical Scrapbook prompts by Shimelle. I must get back to clear the desk at some point but I’m on a mission to finish 2017 first.

Animal Kingdom & Rosie

More scrapbooking and this time I’ve done one of Rosie when she was quite a bit younger and smaller. I have a pad of cat-themed papers that I’ve been working my way through and the colours in the pad are perfect for Rosie. I also have quite a large stash of cat embellishments that I bought when we were thinking about getting cats again, so it’s nice to be able to use them now.

I love the way Rosie was posing for this photo. It’s one of my favourite pics of her.
I’ve also been working my way through some more Holiday photos from last year and have done a couple more layouts of Animal Kingdom.

This one is going to be the section divider for AK.And this one is just to show off two of my favourite photos from the park. Both of those layouts are using some very old papers. The black/Kraft one is probably the newest one of them and that was dated 2008! It’s great to see old stash being used finally.

On Safari, Screaming & Visiting Epcot

More layouts from last year’s Florida Holiday. I’m really enjoying following Shimelle’s prompts from the A most magical scrapbook class. Sometimes I follow the prompt pretty closely and sometimes I start out doing that and then go off on a tangent. Either way, I’m usually pleased with the result and I’m finding scrapping is coming much more easily than it did a year ago.

So, this one is a double layout. I’m not doing many of those now as I’m getting much more selective about which photos make the cut. More old paper getting used, which is very satisfying. Six photos from the Safari at Animal Kingdom. Next is a ride photo. It’s Rock’n’Roller coaster and is mostly Basic Grey and some very old alpha stickers. Finally a photo from Epcot, and it’s another one where they give you a frame to hold. I love the photo so I printed it large and managed to use up another sheet of antique paper.

Rhinos, Giraffes & scary dinosaurs

We took loads of photos on the Safari last year so I wanted to do several layouts of the various animals as well as a generic Safari one.

This one is of the two different types of rhino that they have. Basic Grey Archaic and the journalling is factual rather than heartfelt. (I don’t do much heartfelt stuff, to be honest. It’s not me 🙂 ) Next is the giraffes. More Basic Grey and one of my all time favourite giraffe photos. Love that face! Finally one of my favourite rides – Dinosaur. I journaled about why I love it so much and used more Basic Grey Archaic, including that gorgeous dino paper and sticker.
