A Christmassy one

And another from the Photopass CD.

There were quite a few photographers lurking at Mickey's very merry Christmas party so we made sure to get several photos taken there. It's lovely having some night-time photos taken, especially in the Magic Kingdom. And especially with the castle in its Christmas finery. It looked absolutely spectacular and as the Disney photographers had tripods, they were always going to get a better photo than I was.

We'd had photos taken up and down Main Street and near the castle but I'd heard that there was a photographer stationed right in front of the castle and that was where the best photos were being taken. I wasn't sure how they were getting all the castle in, as it is a bit on the large side, but I was willing to give it a try. After all, the CD was going to cost the same whether I had fifty photos or five hundred on there…

Of the photos we had taken at that location, and we had a couple of goes, this one is my favourite.

The secret is that the camera is not where you think. You're looking at what you think is the camera, but it's really lower down to your left. Because it's looking up at you, it gets the whole castle in and I like the way we appear to be looking off into space. There was a smashing choice of borders to add, and I did use most of them on this photo as I couldn't decide which I'd like best. I'm thinking it's this one. Note we're wearing our Santa hats. Our Mickey and Minnie Santa hats, obviously…
